Relaxing Staycation at Terrace Hotel Subic Bay
Last week, my husband and I enjoyed a relaxing stay in Subic. He had been so busy these past few months, and he deserved a treat. What’s more, he was celebrating his birthday that weekend!
We checked into Terrace Hotel Subic Bay at around 4 pm last Saturday. We were welcomed warmly by the hotel staff, who mentioned that our accommodation comes with complimentary breakfast and cocktail drinks (wohoo!).
Later in the afternoon, we decided to go for a walk around and check out the nearby spots. The hotel is conveniently located along Waterfront Road, which means that we have a perfect view of Subic Bay! While walking along the bay, we saw several monuments, which I believe was put up in 1996, when the APEC Summit was held here. What caught my interest was the enormous Philippine flag, waving atop a 90-foot tall flagpole!
From Waterfront Road, we started walking around the other streets — searching for a place to have dinner. We ended up reaching Harbor Point mall, where we tucked into a delicious dinner at Gerry’s Grill. After dinner, we walked all the way back to the hotel, which took us about 20-30 minutes. What better way to lose those pounds, eh?! We went to bed early, since we were both tired after a long day of travel.
The following morning, we got up at 6 am to take a walk by the beach behind the hotel. We strolled until we reached a quaint lighthouse — my first time to see one! Then, we relaxed at the nearby pier, where other early-morning risers were enjoying the fresh sea air.
Next stop… breakfast! We enjoyed the morning buffet at the Welltz Bar and Restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel. Afterwards, we headed to the rooftop for a swim! From there, we could see a spectacular view of the bay… This was perhaps my favorite part of our trip, since my husband and I had so much fun swimming and taking pictures!
Another amazing thing about our trip is that we stayed in the hotel for free! I won the overnight stay by participating in Panoramictrip’s contest several weeks ago. It’s actually the “biggest” thing that I’ve ever won… one that led to an unforgettable “staycation”!
Relaxing at the hotel’s rooftop pool.
Digging into the hotel’s buffet breakfast.
Strolling along the picturesque Subic Bay.
Sharing a memorable moment by the lighthouse.
Enjoying our Subic Bay “staycation” together!
To Panoramictrip and Terrace Hotel Subic Bay, thanks a million for the wonderful prize!
